General Accounting Associate – Full-Time

About the role

OpenRoad Auto is a fast‑growing automotive retail group with a forward‑thinking culture built over 40 years. As one of Canada’s Best Employers, we seek a motivated General Accounting Associate to join our head‑office accounting team in Richmond.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and post daily cash receipts.
• Post warranty payments from manufacturers.
• Handle bank reconciliations for multiple dealerships.
• Collect overdue payments from customers and set up charge accounts.
• Perform intercompany transactions across stores and regions.
• Send monthly AR statements and assist senior accountants.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Follow safety policies and report any accidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and account analysis.
• Proficient with Excel, including formulas.
• Strong understanding of accounting debits and credits.
• Ability to process a high volume of transactions efficiently.
• Self‑motivated, works well under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well‑organized, detail‑oriented; automotive experience with CDK is an asset.
