Interim Controller – Reporting (3‑Month Contract)

About the role

Our client is seeking an Interim Controller – Reporting on a three‑month contract basis. The role is fully remote and supports the finance function by owning consolidated reporting, financial statement preparation, and month‑end/quarter‑end close across a multi‑entity structure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities.
• Own month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including general ledger review and financial reporting support.
• Manage consolidation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting outputs.
• Apply technical accounting expertise to complex matters such as equity accounting, investments, associates, and joint ventures.
• Prepare and review external reporting schedules and supporting working papers.
• Support audit processes by responding to external auditor requests and owning assigned reporting areas.
• Collaborate with finance leadership on reporting requirements, issue resolution, and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting and consolidation.

Required profile

• CPA designation preferred; other accounting designations considered.
• Background in a Big 4 public accounting firm is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience with consolidated financial statements and multi‑entity reporting.
• Experience in resources or mining industries is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes independently.
