About the role

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority is seeking an experienced fire services professional to join FESTI, a respected private career college, as an Instructor/Captain. You will lead vocational training programs for students and emergency service personnel, ensuring high‑quality instruction and safety on the training grounds.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain course schedules and oversee daily instruction of students.
• Mentor part‑time instructors and student mentors, providing feedback and guidance.
• Plan and set up training skill stations and equipment.
• Develop and update training content, learning tools, and curriculum using the ADDIE process.
• Speak at graduations and events as required.
• Review staff schedules to align with skill requirements and maintain safety compliance.
• Assist in training Emergency Services staff and support the development of new courses.
• Conduct gap analysis, research industry trends, and ensure quality control of instruction and testing.

Required profile

• Passion for learning and strong understanding of adult learning principles.
• Experience coaching students and part‑time instructors.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to training policies.
