HVAC Technician – Residential & Commercial

About the role

Hall Mechanical is seeking a dedicated HVAC Technician to join its growing field team in the Lower Mainland. You will service, maintain, and repair a wide range of residential and commercial HVAC systems, ensuring client comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain HVAC equipment including VRF/VRV, ASHP/WSHP, packaged and split air‑conditioners, heat pumps, RTUs, and related components.
• Provide clear, timely feedback to dispatch and customers while troubleshooting system issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Assemble and install motors, controls, valves, compressors, and other components using hand and power tools.
• Test and adjust installed units for optimal performance and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑inventoried company vehicle.

Required profile

• Red Seal (or equivalent) HVAC certification with 3‑5 years of residential and commercial experience.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varied environments.

Required skills

• VRF/VRV, ASHP, WSHP, packaged and split A/C, heat pump, RTU systems.
• Refrigeration and control system knowledge.
• Motor, valve, and compressor installation.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Use of hand and power tools.
• First Aid, Fall Protection, Gas Fitter, Boom/Scissor Lift, Forklift certifications (preferred).
