Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role partners with both employees and leadership, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance and HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Address employee relations issues, support conflict resolution and promote engagement through events and recognition programs.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment for manufacturing, operations, skilled trades and administrative positions, from job posting to offer and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in the HRIS platform, tracking employment history, compensation changes and training records.
• Assist with payroll processing, benefits enrollment, open‑enrollment support and compensation administration.
• Support performance‑management processes, goal tracking, feedback documentation and employee development initiatives.
• Coordinate orientation and training programs, track participation and maintain learning materials.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario employment standards, workplace policies, health and safety regulations and HR best practices.

Required profile

• Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding and employee‑relations best practices.
• Familiarity with Ontario employment standards and workplace health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and accuracy.

Required skills

• Experience with ADP or similar payroll/HRIS systems.
• Proficiency in using HRIS platforms to maintain employee data and generate reports.
