Human Resources Generalist – Full‑Cycle Recruitment & Safety

About the role

CanCrete Equipment Ltd. is seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits, health and safety, and employee performance across its Canadian operations. The role combines full‑cycle talent acquisition with day‑to‑day HR support for a fast‑growing concrete equipment provider.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full‑cycle recruitment: post jobs, screen resumes, schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
• Coordinate new‑hire onboarding, including documentation, equipment allocation, orientation and system setup.
• Administer employee benefits, process enrolments, changes and inquiries, and maintain accurate benefits reporting.
• Manage the Health and Safety program, handle incident reporting, liaise with WSIB, CNESST, WCB and lead quarterly safety team meetings.
• Track probationary periods, schedule reviews and support managers with performance timelines.
• Assist with training initiatives, employee engagement, policy creation, legislative updates and internal communications.
• Provide payroll backup and support company events, wellness initiatives and other HR projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 + years of HR experience, including 2‑3 years as a Human Resources Generalist.
• CHRP or CHRL designation (or active progression toward designation).
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and occupational health and safety standards.
• Proven talent‑management success and ability to handle benefits administration.

Required skills

• Experience with an HRIS system (e.g., ADP Workforce Now).
