Human Resources Generalist – Full‑Cycle Recruitment & Employee Relations

About the role

Hagen Industries, a Canadian family‑owned leader in pet products, is seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join its growing team in Ville Saint‑Laurent. The role combines recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and HR administration in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for production and succession planning, using the company ATS and partnering with hiring managers.
• Coordinate new‑hire onboarding, manage documentation and ensure a positive employee experience.
• Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, handling performance issues, promotions and learning pathways.
• Maintain HR records, support benefits administration and serve as liaison with the Head Office HR team.
• Assist with performance management processes, including annual and 3‑month reviews.
• Manage health and safety compliance, act as primary contact for CNESST and workplace injury files.
• Provide cross‑functional support, covering administrative and finance tasks during absences.
• Welcome visitors, manage reception duties and help organize company events.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of HR experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Proven full‑cycle recruitment expertise.
• Excellent communication skills in French and functional English.
• Degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations.
• Ability to work effectively in both office and production environments.

Required skills

• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
