Human Intelligence Officer – National Security

About the role
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking experienced Human Intelligence Officers to join its regional offices across Canada. In this role you will act as a field investigator, gathering human‑source intelligence that supports Canada’s national security priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct intelligence collection through direct engagement with individuals and communities.
- Investigate threats to national security, including terrorism, espionage, and subversive activities.
- Analyze and synthesize large volumes of information to produce accurate, timely intelligence reports.
- Collaborate with domestic and international partners to disrupt emerging threats.
- Make tactical decisions in ambiguous and high‑pressure environments.
Required profile
- Canadian citizenship.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent written communication with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust.
- Capacity to operate independently and make sound judgments in the field.
