About the role
The City of Brooks is seeking a part‑time Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to join its Aquatics team at the EID Aquatic Centre. The role primarily covers daytime shifts, with occasional evening and weekend coverage. This position offers clear pathways for advancement within the city’s growing recreation services.
Key responsibilities
- Perform lifeguarding duties to ensure the safety of pool users.
- Maintain pool operations in compliance with City policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the pool area and respond promptly to emergencies.
Required profile
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Hold a National Lifeguard Certificate, Standard First Aid Certification, and a Swim Instructor Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with the public.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.98 to $22.01 CAD, with higher rates for certified swim instructors.
- Free membership to the JBS Canada Centre for the duration of employment.
- Eligibility for wage increase upon obtaining a Swim Instructor Certification.
