About the role
The HR Business Partner provides consultative advice, coaching, and strategic support on people management and organizational needs. This role ensures that human capital aligns with business strategy while collaborating closely with HR colleagues and client groups.
Key responsibilities
- Advise client groups on staffing, employee relations, terminations, investigations, disability management, policy interpretation, and legal implications.
- Manage relationships, headcount, and budgets with temporary staffing service providers.
- Coach managers on people management, objective setting, recruitment, compensation, employment equity, change management, and performance.
- Maintain pay equity and conduct job evaluations against internal and external benchmarks.
- Support the annual performance management cycle, including documentation compliance and feedback.
- Draft, review, and recommend HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee claims management for short‑term and long‑term disability.
- Lead full‑cycle recruitment activities for assigned client groups.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights legislation, and health & safety requirements.
- Facilitate training programs in partnership with the Training & Development team.
- Act as backup for the Country HR Leader and handle employee correspondence and administrative tasks.
Required profile
- University degree or HR Management Certificate/Diploma.
- 10‑12 years of progressive generalist HR experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical.
