Housekeeping Aide (Part‑Time, 26 hrs bi‑weekly)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Housekeeping Aide to join our senior living community in Toronto. This part‑time position (26 hours bi‑weekly, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm) involves maintaining clean and safe living spaces for our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments and common areas according to assigned schedules using appropriate sanitation methods.
• Operate floor‑care machines and steam‑cleaning equipment.
• Strip, scrub, spray, and buff carpet and non‑carpet floor surfaces.
• Pick up and transport garbage to designated areas.
• Follow residence policies, safety rules, and documentation procedures.
• Attend in‑service training, staff meetings, and participate in quality‑improvement programs.
• Uphold resident rights, organizational values, and work with vulnerable adults responsibly.

Required profile

• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet physical job requirements.
• Willingness to provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check or obtain one.
• Commitment to inclusive workplace practices and accommodation requests.
