Hotel Operations Manager

About the role

PHI Hotel Group is seeking a full‑time Hotel Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations at one of its Alberta properties. You will be responsible for delivering a consistent, high‑quality guest experience across all service areas while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage operations.
• Manage team scheduling, training, coaching and performance evaluation.
• Monitor financial performance, assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Support revenue‑optimization initiatives and ensure compliance with brand standards, safety and health regulations.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and implement continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with ownership, corporate leadership and local partners on sales, marketing and new service offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple hotel departments and daily guest service delivery.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and communication skills.
• Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and revenue analysis.
• Knowledge of hotel brand standards, safety, health and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work on‑site in Alberta with flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Post‑secondary education in hospitality management, business or equivalent experience.
• Experience with new hotel openings, renovations or transitions is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS).
• Competence in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with operational reporting tools.
