About the role

The Hospitalist will provide acute inpatient medical care at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, acting as the most responsible physician for complex medical cases and co‑managing surgical patients. The position offers a collaborative environment with strong teamwork, quality‑improvement focus, and opportunities for leadership development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive acute inpatient care for 12‑16 patients per shift.
• Serve as the most responsible physician for complex medical patients.
• Co‑manage surgical patients and provide palliative care services.
• Collaborate closely with specialists, family physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and hospitalist program development.
