Home Support Worker – Personal Care & Assistance

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Home Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to an elderly client in Unionville. The role involves bedside care, medication administration, and daily living support in a private home setting. Flexible shift options (morning, day, evening) are available.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including medication administration.
• Assist with bathing, personal hygiene, and regular exercise such as walking.
• Launder clothing and household linens and perform light housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship, shop for food and household supplies, and prepare nutritious meals.
• Cook and serve meals, and ensure a clean, safe living environment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 20 lb, and standing for extended periods.
• Criminal record check required.
• Personal qualities: punctual, dependable, patient, honest, flexible, and strong communication skills.
