Home Child Care Provider – Full-time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Home Child Care Provider to join a family in Gravenhurst. The role involves full‑time care for infants and children within the employer’s home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and development‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Change diapers, assist with toilet training, and maintain personal hygiene for children.
• Prepare, sterilize bottles, and serve nutritious meals and formula.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and maintain a clean household.
• Shop for food and household supplies, and manage household inventories.
• Organize and supervise games, outings, and educational activities.
• Transport children to school, appointments, and accompany the family on trips.
• Maintain daily activity and health records, and follow parents’ discipline methods.
• Provide emotional support, assist with homework, and ensure overall well‑being.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• 3–5 years of experience in home child care or similar setting.
• Valid driver’s licence, clean driving record, and ability to operate a manual‑transmission vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) and handle household tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Criminal record check and reference verification required.
• Flexibility, reliability, patience, and strong judgement.
