About the role
The Health Care Aide provides direct personal care and health support to residents of St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, a dedicated care centre in south Edmonton. Working under functional supervision, the aide contributes to a holistic, person‑centred approach.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and health support to clients of all ages in line with regulatory standards.
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and promptly report changes in health status, behavior, or signs of distress to the nursing team.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to follow documented care plans and delegated tasks.
- Promote client dignity, safety, and emotional well‑being through engagement and responsive care.
Required profile
- Regulated Health Care Aide credential recognized in Alberta.
- Ability to work under functional supervision of nursing staff.
- Strong communication and teamwork orientation.
- Commitment to compassionate, person‑centred care.
