Health and Wellness Advisor

About the role

The Health and Wellness Advisor will lead McGill University’s health and wellness program, aligning initiatives with organizational priorities and employee needs. Reporting to the Associate Director of Benefits and Disability Management, the role collaborates closely with HR, benefits, disability, and organizational development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the university’s Health and Wellness program.
• Create and execute an annual programming calendar with conferences, communications, and educational content.
• Plan and run large‑scale events such as the annual Health Fair covering physical, mental, social, financial, and nutritional wellness.
• Maintain and update the Health and Wellness website to ensure relevance and accessibility.
• Identify emerging wellness trends, benchmark best practices, and introduce innovative approaches.
• Establish, monitor, and analyze KPIs to assess program effectiveness and ROI.
• Support the university’s Excellence Canada certification efforts and address psychosocial risks.
• Facilitate cross‑functional working groups to co‑create initiatives and boost engagement.
• Oversee Employee and Family Assistance Program activities and build relationships with internal and external partners.

Required profile

• Experience managing health and wellness programs in a large organization.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple HR and university stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
