About the role
The Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University is seeking experienced professionals to serve as Guest Speakers for its Fall 2026 Masterclass in Policy Advocacy. This short‑term, non‑credit teaching assignment will involve delivering intensive workshops to senior policy advocates from Canada’s charitable sector.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 3‑6 hour non‑credit workshops on designated dates (October 15 – November 14, 2026) as part of three 3‑day modules.
- Provide practical knowledge and tools on topics such as the current policy context, government decision‑making, information ecosystems, political polarization, collaboration, and capacity building.
- Engage participants through interactive, experiential learning methods and real‑world case studies.
- Coordinate with the Max Bell School team to align content with the Masterclass curriculum.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a senior policy advocate or practitioner in Canada’s charitable or non‑profit sector.
- Deep understanding of public policy development, advocacy strategies, and the broader political environment.
- Ability to communicate complex policy concepts clearly to senior professionals.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive learning environments.
