Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Group Financial Controller to lead our accounting function across multiple entities. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide timely insights that support strategic decision‑making in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise expenses and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Validate AP/AR invoices for correct tax treatment (GST, PST, HST, etc.).
• Prepare project invoices and allocate project revenues, CAPEX, and OPEX in NetSuite.
• Enter all accounting transactions and reconcile bank and credit‑card statements.
• Draft quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual consolidated financial statements, including notes and MD&A, ready one week before audit committee meetings.
• Prepare working papers, supporting schedules, and verify Mexican accounting records for consolidation.
• Assist in drafting technical accounting memoranda under IFRS.
• Process semi‑monthly payroll, file/pay payroll taxes, and prepare annual T4 summaries and slips.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5‑7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and across borders.

Required skills

• IFRS knowledge (CPA preferred).
• NetSuite accounting platform.
• Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Payroll processing and tax filing.
