Geotechnical Engineer – Mining & Civil Projects

About the role

MC-Bauchemie Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead feasibility studies and geohydrological programs for mining and civil engineering projects. The role involves field work in diverse environments and supervision of technical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies for mining operations, including data acquisition, analysis, and mapping.
• Develop and supervise geohydrological programs to support civil engineering project design.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations on settlement, slope stability, and seismic effects.
• Supervise technologists, technicians, and junior engineers.
• Communicate technical issues, processes, and solutions to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental Engineering (or related civil engineering field).
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in a Canadian province or territory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in soils engineering, geohazard mitigation, and groundwater management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
