Geotechnical Drill Assistant

About the role

Join Geotech Drilling, a leading geotechnical and environmental drilling company, as a Geotechnical Drill Assistant. You will work on advanced-stage projects across western Canada, supporting the driller and ensuring smooth field operations in a dynamic, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials required for continuous drilling operations.
• Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes and core samples safely and efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials, supplies and tooling for the rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the driller, client and other team members as needed.
• Perform regular lifts of 50‑90 lb as part of routine tasks.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 or Class 3 driver’s licence.
• 1‑3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling (preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair small equipment (preferred).
• Ability to work in remote locations and varied weather conditions for extended periods.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
