Civil Construction Project Manager / Estimator

About the role

Knappett Industries is seeking a Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator for its Prince George office. The role combines accurate cost estimating and tender preparation with the management of active construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and competitive tender submissions.
• Solicit and evaluate bid pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage project documentation, change orders, progress billings, and schedule baselines.
• Conduct site visits, kickoff meetings, and coordinate with site superintendents.
• Lead project close‑out, including deficiency tracking and final documentation.
• Maintain client satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s in Construction Management (or equivalent).
• Relevant civil construction experience, with a hands‑on approach and business awareness.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently.
