General Labourer (Temporary, 6 Months)

About the role

CB&I is hiring a General Labourer in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, on a 6-month temporary basis. The role covers yard maintenance, grass cutting and other general tasks, and includes warehouse receiving, storing and issuing of materials.

Key responsibilities

• Yard maintenance, grass cutting, trimming, sweeping, clean-up, weed spraying and snow removal
• Inspect, repair and store electrical cable and air hoses
• Receive, store and issue material and supplies to projects
• Navigate the online warehouse system and load/unload supplies, placing them on shelves or in assigned areas
• Climb ladders to stock shelves and keep the warehouse orderly and safe
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and mark information on cases or containers
• Bundle and band materials using a banding machine and clincher
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist and clean work areas, machines and equipment
• Shovel loose materials such as gravel, metals, plastics or chemicals into wheelbarrows, scrap trucks or barrels
• Comply with all safety and project rules and perform other duties as required

Required profile

• High school diploma
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb
• Ability to work outdoors
• Basic understanding of construction projects
• Willingness to learn and take direction
