General Labourer

About the role

Crown Holdings, a global leader in metal packaging, is seeking a General Labourer to support its production operations in Toronto. The role involves working on the shop floor to ensure smooth material flow, maintain quality standards, and uphold safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment while following safety procedures.
• Load, unload, and move materials, supplies, and finished products.
• Perform quality checks to verify products meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and waste removal.
• Assist various departments with tasks such as packing, sorting, assembly, and material handling.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
