General Construction Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a General Construction Supervisor to lead on‑site activities for our projects in Edmonton. You will coordinate crews, ensure safety compliance, and drive productivity while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and estimate costs and material requirements.
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare production reports.
• Recruit, hire, and train workers; manage staffing actions.
• Coordinate schedules and activities with other supervisors or managers.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and emergency procedures are observed.
• Read blueprints and drawings, requisition materials, and supervise installation of exterior and interior steel studs.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (1‑2 years program).
• 2 to less than 3 years of construction supervision experience.
• Organized, reliable, and a strong team player.
• Ability to work outdoors, handle heavy loads, and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• CADD proficiency.
• Hand‑tool and power‑tool operation.
• Blueprint reading.
• Cost estimating.
