Full‑time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant for activations and consultations and serve as the Medical Responsible Physician (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide expert consultations.
• Serve as MRP for all admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call coverage for approximately 7 days every two months, including onsite daytime hours and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to the multidisciplinary trauma service team of nine physicians.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified physician in emergency medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, or critical care with trauma experience.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team of physicians and allied professionals.
• Ability to be on‑call 24/7 for the required rotation schedule.
• Fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
• US‑trained trauma physicians are accepted.
