Full‑time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

The Fraser Health Trauma Network is seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant, providing 24/7 on‑call coverage and overseeing admitted trauma patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide consultative expertise.
• Serve as the Medical Review Process (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.
• Maintain on‑call duties 24/7 for approximately seven days every two months, including onsite daytime coverage and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care across ARHCC’s extensive specialty services.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, or related specialty.
• Willingness to work in a team environment with physicians and allied staff.
• Eligibility to practice in Canada; US‑trained trauma physicians are accepted.
• Fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
