About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic wait staff to join Asahiya Japanese Restaurant in Whitehorse. The role is full-time and involves delivering friendly, efficient service to our guests in a vibrant Japanese dining setting.
Key responsibilities
- Greet patrons, present menus, describe daily specials and make recommendations.
- Take orders and relay them accurately to kitchen and bar staff.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Present bills, process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, travellers’ cheques) and handle room billings.
- Assist guests with special needs and provide overall customer service.
Required profile
- No prior experience required – comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Open to youth mentorship and coaching opportunities.
