Full-Time Teacher & Student Support Lead (K‑4)

About the role

Chinook’s Edge School Division is seeking a full‑time teacher for École John Wilson Elementary School (Grades K‑4) in Innisfail. The successful candidate will also serve as the Student Support Lead, guiding inclusive education and school‑wide social‑emotional learning initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction to Kindergarten through Grade 4 students.
• Support inclusive education by addressing diverse learning and complex needs.
• Lead and coordinate school‑wide social‑emotional learning programs for staff and students.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families and community partners to create a calm, confident, and supportive school environment.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of student support services.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta Teacher Certificate.
• Experience working with inclusive classrooms or student support roles (preferred).
• Ability to obtain a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
• Understanding of social‑emotional learning frameworks.
