Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Remarcable is an intelligent procurement and material operations platform serving trade contractors and suppliers. The company is expanding its engineering team and is hiring Full Stack Software Engineers at intermediate and senior levels to build high‑impact SaaS features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch end‑to‑end features using Python/Django back‑ends, Angular front‑ends, and SQL schemas.
• Diagnose and resolve complex edge cases, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks across the stack.
• Troubleshoot high‑priority customer issues and runtime exceptions in live production environments.
• Conduct rigorous peer code reviews to enforce quality, security, and architectural standards.
• Build and maintain resilient REST APIs, webhooks, email parsers, and OCR extraction pipelines.
• Document key architecture, data models, and workflows to ensure team maintainability.
• Leverage modern AI tools (Claude, Cursor) to accelerate execution, automate testing, and adopt new technologies.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production SaaS or fast‑paced startup environment.
• 4‑6+ years building backend services with Python and Django (or FastAPI/Flask), including RESTful APIs and asynchronous background jobs.
• 4+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including complex JOIN queries and schema design.
• 2+ years of production experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue).
• Based in Vancouver (or willing to relocate) for hybrid on‑site stand‑ups.
• Problem‑solver with a customer‑first mindset and strong ownership.
