Full Stack Engineer

About the role
Pixieset is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join its Growth team. You will work across multiple products and codebases, focusing on backend development, A/B experimentation, and optimisation of high‑impact areas such as registration and billing.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement product features across the full stack, primarily using PHP (Laravel/Yii) and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js/React).
- Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code to support scalable backend systems and user‑facing functionality.
- Deliver user‑facing improvements, backend optimisations, and system enhancements that drive acquisition, activation, retention and revenue growth.
- Maintain and improve product architecture, APIs, databases and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders to define requirements and solve complex technical challenges.
- Participate in code reviews, uphold engineering best practices and produce clear technical documentation.
- Research and integrate new technologies to enhance performance, security and development processes.
Required profile
- 2+ years of experience building and delivering production‑grade software.
- Proven experience building backend services with modern frameworks and designing scalable systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL and schema design.
- Working knowledge of frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with exposure to Vue.js or React.
- End‑to‑end ownership of features from design through production support.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and collaborate effectively across teams.
