Front-End Developer – Gaming UI for Driver Risk Platform

About the role
We are building a first-of-its-kind global driver risk management platform that blends real-time data, behavioural analytics and immersive training mechanics. As a Front-End Developer you will create thrilling, game-like user interfaces that bring our training concepts to life.
Key responsibilities
- Rapidly build proofs of concept and interactive prototypes for gameplay-driven training ideas.
- Develop responsive, high-performance UI components with a strong focus on animations, transitions and game-like interaction patterns.
- Collaborate with UX designers and product leads to turn wireframes into polished, accessible front-end experiences.
- Create gamified training modules, including scoring systems, progress mechanics and animated feedback loops.
- Apply internationalisation best practices to support multilingual content across regional deployments.
Required profile
- Product-mindset focused on user behaviour and engagement.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, start-up environment and deliver production-ready work within tight timelines.
- Experimenter who enjoys building and iterating fast prototypes.
- Strong communicator able to explain technical decisions to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for interactive design, gaming mechanics and creating experiences that keep users hooked.
Required skills
- 2+ years of front-end development experience with a portfolio that includes a significant gaming or gamification project.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping and turning concepts into working proofs of concept.
- Deep understanding of animation and rendering performance, from basic transitions to complex real-time visual systems.
- Experience building gamified user experiences such as scoring systems, reward loops and progress tracking.
- Familiarity with modern front-end architecture patterns and component-based development.
- Experience with 3D assets is a plus.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of $40–$60 (CAD) based on a 37.5-hour work week.
