Front Desk Clerk (Part-time)

About the role

We are seeking a courteous and energetic Front Desk Clerk to join our team at the Continental Inn & Suites in Edmonton on a part‑time basis. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering professional service and ensuring a smooth check‑in and check‑out experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, register them in the reservation system, and verify reservation, address, and credit details.
• Process payments, maintain a house bank, and produce daily cash reports.
• Issue room keys, manage safety‑deposit boxes, and handle currency exchange.
• Answer telephone inquiries, manage reservations, and respond promptly to guest concerns or complaints.
• Assist guests with luggage, provide local area information, and arrange wake‑up calls, mail, and fax services.
• Post miscellaneous charges, handle laundry/dry‑cleaning requests, and support VIP guests.
• Follow all standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Collaborate with other departments and provide assistance during emergencies.
