Freight Forwarding Logistician

About the role

The Freight Forwarding Logistician will support the warehouse and logistics operations in Delta, BC, ensuring smooth movement of goods and timely completion of work orders. This full‑time position involves coordinating with customers, internal teams and external transport partners to maintain efficient supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Compile orders and instructions received from customers.
• Organize tasks and oversee operational logistics to meet assigned work goals.
• Track and complete work orders, monitor movement of supplies between departments.
• Prepare and submit operational and progress reports.
• Arrange maintenance and repair work as required and maintain operational logs.
• Maintain organized warehouse and work areas to ensure efficiency.
• Perform general office and administrative duties, including resolving work‑related issues.
• Provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Compile worksheets and specifications for customer orders and coordinate activities with warehouse and production units.
• Monitor production progress, follow up on work orders and provide excellent customer service.
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
• Communicate with ships, aircraft and other remote operations, keep track of shipments and organize inventory records.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in freight forwarding.
• CIFFA certification is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
