Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing & CAPEX

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will join GCT’s Procurement department at the Broadway Tech Office in Vancouver. Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, you will drive strategic sourcing initiatives and support core operational purchasing, influencing both day‑to‑day transactions and long‑term sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve supplier performance.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, and compliance monitoring.
• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes for CAPEX projects, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Perform advanced spend and category analytics to drive procurement excellence and continuous process improvement.
• Support operational procurement by expediting purchase order issuance and vendor management during peak periods.
• Execute additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 8+ years of procurement experience with a blend of strategic sourcing and operational purchasing.
• Proven experience leading RFx processes, contract negotiations, supplier management, and complex CAPEX projects.
• Experience in fleet purchasing or terminal operating companies is an asset.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to shift between strategic projects and daily operational tasks.
