Foreman/Forewoman for Heavy Equipment Mechanics

About the role

We are looking for a foreman or forewoman to lead a team of heavy equipment mechanics in a commercial outdoor setting. The role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high productivity under varying weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise 5‑10 heavy‑duty equipment mechanics, apprentices, and labourers.
• Coordinate and schedule work activities, ensuring projects stay on track.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on site.
• Recommend personnel actions and manage performance.
• Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and collaborate with other work units.

Required profile

• Other trades certificate or diploma.
• 1–2 years of experience supervising heavy‑equipment mechanics.
• Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate and Heavy‑Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal Endorsement.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Strong client focus, excellent communication, flexibility, and good judgement.
