Food Service Supervisor – Restaurant

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor will lead the daily operations of Spicy 6 Fine Indian Cuisine, ensuring high‑quality food preparation, service, and a safe working environment. Reporting to management, you will coordinate staff, manage inventory, and address customer concerns in a fast‑paced restaurant setting.

Key responsibilities

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain accurate stock records.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare, portion, and assemble meals and trays.
• Train new employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Hire and schedule food service staff as needed.
• Monitor food quality and service standards, handling customer complaints promptly.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and track sales, wastage, and repairs.
• Oversee delivery of food trolleys and ensure proper tray assembly.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in food service or restaurant supervision.
• Ability to manage a team, maintain records, and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Basic budgeting and cost‑control techniques.
• Experience with inventory management and stock ordering.
