About the role
The Food Service Supervisor will lead the front‑of‑house and kitchen teams at New Island Sushi in Saskatoon. This role ensures that food preparation, portioning, and service meet the restaurant’s quality standards while maintaining a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate staff activities.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies and prepare order summaries for the chef.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and portioned food.
- Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Address customer complaints or concerns and ensure service meets quality control standards.
- Prepare and submit reports related to operations.
Required profile
- College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant or food‑service environment.
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast‑paced setting with tight deadlines.
- Strong client focus, excellent oral communication, and teamwork skills.
