Food Service Supervisor – Fast‑Paced Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor to lead a small team in our fast‑paced restaurant in Waterloo. You will ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and deliver excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish methods and work schedules to meet service demands.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of 1‑2 staff members who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Hire and onboard new food service employees.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports and food order summaries for the chef.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers.

Required profile

  • Secondary school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 2 years of experience in food service or restaurant supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with initiative and good communication skills.
  • Availability for shift work and use of public transportation.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a small team.
