About the role
We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor to lead a small team in our fast‑paced restaurant in Waterloo. You will ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Establish methods and work schedules to meet service demands.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of 1‑2 staff members who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Hire and onboard new food service employees.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly.
- Prepare and submit operational reports and food order summaries for the chef.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in food service or restaurant supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Team player with initiative and good communication skills.
- Availability for shift work and use of public transportation.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a small team.
