Food Safety & Compliance Specialist

About the role

As a Food Safety & Compliance Specialist you will work directly with hotel, restaurant and grocery clients to ensure their operations meet Steritech’s brand standards and regulatory requirements. You will travel extensively, providing on‑site assessments, coaching, and corrective‑action support to help clients deliver safe, high‑quality food experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments measuring conformity to regulatory, industry and proprietary brand standards.
• Observe food preparation, cooking, sanitation and health practices on client sites.
• Partner with clients to identify root causes of non‑conformities and develop corrective‑action plans.
• Teach and coach client staff on best practices for a safer, healthier workplace.
• Travel up to 50% of the time (approximately 10 days per month), including occasional evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• CP‑FS certification (or ability to obtain it).
• Highly flexible Sunday‑to‑Saturday work schedule.
• Willingness to travel by car or plane up to 50% of the time.
• Physical ability to lift 10 lb, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach.
• Excellent listening, communication and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Strong organization, time‑management and autonomous‑working abilities.
• Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
• Technical knowledge of food safety preferred.
