About the role
The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the fleet at the BCLM site remains road‑ready, safe, and cost‑effective. Working closely with Operations, EH&S, vendors and third‑party service providers, this hands‑on leader drives maintenance planning, asset compliance and operational continuity.
Key responsibilities
- Guarantee daily availability of road‑ready units by coordinating assignments and minimizing downtime.
- Schedule, track and manage preventative maintenance (PM) programs in line with fleet tracking systems.
- Prioritize repairs based on safety risk, operational impact and cost, approving work orders and component replacements.
- Manage relationships with external repair facilities, mobile service providers and in‑house technicians, ensuring service‑level expectations are met.
- Maintain fleet compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, including daily checks of Lytx and Geotab systems.
- Identify high‑cost or underperforming assets, support repair‑versus‑replacement decisions and contribute to lifecycle planning.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of experience supervising fleet, maintenance or operations activities.
- Preference for candidates holding a Red Seal certification.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and fleet asset management.
Required skills
- Proficiency with fleet management software such as Lytx and Geotab.
