Financial Controller

About the role

The Controller will own the integrity of Generis' financial books and lead the day‑to‑day accounting function. Reporting to the CFO, this hands‑on role ensures a fast, clean, and audit‑ready month‑end close while supporting payroll, commission, and sales reporting across North America and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end month‑end close, meeting all calendar deadlines.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferrals and allocations.
• Produce monthly financial statements, supporting schedules and variance analysis using Datarails.
• Document, standardise and continuously improve the close process to eliminate overtime.
• Support quarter‑ and year‑end close, audit preparation and external auditor requests.
• Own balance‑sheet reconciliation for all accounts on a defined cadence.
• Oversee core accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger) and payroll for North America and the EU.
• Calculate commissions and bonuses and provide management and sales reporting.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional with a strong focus on accuracy and accountability.
• Proven experience managing month‑end close and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, FP&A and senior leadership.
• Comfortable driving process improvements and documenting internal controls.
