Financial Controller – International Bank

About the role

The Service Company Controller will lead all financial accounting, reporting and compliance activities for the Canadian service entity of a global financial institution. This role ensures accurate financial performance, regulatory adherence and supports budgeting, tax and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee full‑cycle financial accounting and reporting for the Canadian service entity.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and Canadian financial and tax regulations.
• Prepare, review and process service agreement invoicing.
• Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Monitor financial results against forecasts and budgets.
• Prepare and review income tax and VAT submissions, including transfer‑pricing analysis.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Maintain clear documentation of accounting processes and controls.

Required profile

• CPA designation (required).
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, Canadian corporate tax and VAT; familiarity with Québec international financial tax credit is an asset.
• Highly organized, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and French.

• Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and computer tools.

• Base salary $105,000–$110,000 CAD plus 10% bonus.
