Financial Controller – Financial Transformation and Performance

About the role

Join BPA’s finance transformation as a Financial Controller responsible for the Quebec operations while supporting national initiatives. You will act as a business partner, ensuring excellence in day‑to‑day financial activities and contributing to the modernization of the finance function across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations for all Quebec offices.
• Produce, analyse and present financial results to aid decision‑making.
• Track Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure rigorous project profitability management.
• Collaborate with project controllers and operational teams nationwide.
• Participate in monthly financial closings and variance analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, standardisation and automation.
• Contribute to BPA’s national finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA designation (required).
• Experience as a financial controller or in a similar finance role.
• Background in a professional‑services environment, preferably engineering consulting, architecture or similar.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
