Financial Analyst

About the role

Edison is seeking a Financial Analyst to support finance operations, reporting, and data integrity across its engineering and project‑management offices. The role will work closely with leadership, project managers, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial information and help drive informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day finance transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate records and support tax and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Assist with year‑end working papers and draft financial statement packages.
• Prepare cash‑flow updates and internal control documentation.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages covering profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and business‑unit performance.
• Support creation of annual revenue, cost, and profitability budgets.
• Build dashboards to track employee utilization, work‑in‑progress, accounts receivable, and project performance.
• Maintain data quality in BQE CORE, assist users with time entry, billing, and expense processes, and stay current with system features.
• Coordinate invoicing with project managers and support collections by providing statements and revising invoices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve reporting visibility, and strengthen finance workflows.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and software vendors on system issues, updates, and process enhancements.
• Partner with leadership and operations teams to interpret financial information, improve billing discipline, and enhance project visibility.
