Finance Ops / Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)

About the role

A growth marketing partner for high-growth tech companies and startups is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Operations expert to take full ownership of its day-to-day financial health. The role sits at the heart of back-office operations, capturing receipts, paying invoices and keeping profitability clear. It is part-time, with potential for full-time, and fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable records in QuickBooks Online, including receipt management, categorization and reconciliations
• Manage full-cycle payroll for Canadian employees and coordinate timely contractor payments
• Oversee multi-currency accounts and handle complex currency conversions
• Generate client invoices and lead the Accounts Receivable process with follow-ups on overdue payments
• Perform monthly ad spend reconciliations and calculate management fee billing
• Lead the month-end close and produce monthly P&L statements
• Generate weekly AR reports and track client-specific profitability

Required profile

• Proven experience in an agency or service-based business model
• Deep comfort with multi-currency environments and international transactions
• Track record of managing collections and payment chasing
• Solid understanding of Canadian payroll regulations and tax requirements
• Experience in a high-growth startup or expansion-stage company

Required skills

• Expert-level QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Advanced financial reporting and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with agency billing software or project management tools
