Finance Associate

About the role

PwC is seeking a Finance Associate to support its internal finance operations. You will work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with policies. This role offers the chance to develop your analytical skills while contributing to the firm’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with daily cheque deposits and follow‑up on outstanding AR issues.
• Coordinate handling of requests for insurance certificates.
• Support the Accounts Payable vendor‑setup process.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Assist the Finance team during interim, hard close, year‑end, and audit/review procedures.
• Prepare and verify financial documents and reports for readiness and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with other departments.
• Provide advanced day‑to‑day accounting support for multiple business entities.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, firm procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience or education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an asset.
• Openness to embracing new technology solutions such as AI.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative, enthusiasm, and a curious mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under the guidance of the Senior Finance Manager.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle accounting software.
• Proficiency with SAP accounting software.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
