Field Operations Manager

About the role

Konecranes, a global leader in material handling solutions, is hiring a Field Operations Manager in Calgary. The role directs all aspects of the operations of the Service Business in a defined territory, achieving profitable growth through operational excellence while delivering the best possible customer experience. It reports to the Territory Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety programs, organize monthly safety meetings, approve POWRAs and ensure PPE compliance
• Supervise daily operations, support field technicians and coordinate service calls, inspections and repairs
• Plan and assign field labor hours, review margins and WIP performance, and report significant deviations from job plans
• Support the inspection and repair schedule, respond to emergencies and resolve customer complaints
• Collect warranty information, monitor the credit control list and help collect on overdue accounts
• Oversee invoicing, open orders and on-call availability, and coach field operatives on safety and visit reviews
• Approve technicians' time entries, oversee larger repairs and projects, and coordinate maintenance of company equipment and assets
• Assist the Territory Operations Manager with training needs, spot inspections and audits, and handle branch tasks such as shipping/receiving and equipment maintenance

Required profile

• University or technologist degree preferred, or equivalent experience and training
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in service-related operations
• Demonstrated leadership and people skills, understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, and good written and verbal communication
• Good driving record and willingness to travel to different locations
• Prior experience with cranes and industrial service is a plus
