About the role
Silver Corners Inc is seeking a dedicated Farm Supervisor to manage swine operations at its Brussels, ON facility. You will ensure animal health, safety, and productivity while leading a small team of farm workers.
Key responsibilities
- Handling animals and monitoring their health.
- Developing and implementing farm safety and bio‑security procedures.
- Co‑ordinating and supervising general farm workers and harvesting labourers (3‑4 people).
- Formulating feeding programs and maintaining livestock performance, quality control and production records.
- Selecting livestock for sale and overseeing breeding programs.
- Hiring, training and supervising staff.
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, performing routine maintenance and documenting work logs.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school) certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience in swine or livestock operations.
- Physically demanding work; ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) and stand, walk, sit for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Organized, reliable team player with strong attention to detail.
